Work Hard.    Have Fun.    Help Others.

Our Mission:

WAYFO Builds Community by Inspiring People to Grow, Engage, & Serve Others!

🌱 Grow

Challenge yourself. Build better habits. Become stronger.

Grow through daily discipline, personal challenges, and intentional habits. The WAYFO app and planner help individuals set goals, track progress, and stay accountable as they build healthier routines and stronger character.

🤝 Engage

Show up. Connect. Build community.

Engage by participating in community events that bring people together through shared challenges and experiences. WAYFO events create opportunities to meet new people, build friendships, and strengthen the bonds that make communities thrive.

❤️ Serve

Give back. Support others. Strengthen community.

Serve by supporting the people who serve our communities every day. Through volunteering, donating, sponsoring events, or contributing time and resources, WAYFO participants help fund and support local teachers, police officers, firefighters, and other community heroes.

Our Story:

‍ It all started on a long mountain bike climb up Mt. Herman Road while Jon, WAYFO’s founder, was training for an endurance race in Leadville, Colorado. After competing in events there for years, he had seen firsthand how adventure races could strengthen a community,  bringing in visitors, supporting local businesses, and raising money for meaningful local causes. Somewhere along that ride, a simple idea took shape: why not create something similar in Monument? An event that would bring runners and riders into the community, inspire locals to get involved, boost the local economy, and raise money that stays local. That vision became the Mount Herman Ultra.

But from the beginning, the mission was always bigger than the race itself. It was about building community. Jon knew he wanted the proceeds to directly support local heroes who serve our community every day:  firefighters, teachers, and police officers. To make that happen with transparency and accountability, Jon partnered with fellow veterans to establish WAYFO as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. What started as one event continues to grow into additional adventure events, a mobile app for daily habit tracking , WAYFO merchandise, and future community initiatives…. all centered around one mission: to build community by inspiring people to Grow, Engage, and Serve others.

‍ ‍Where did the word WAYFO come from….? It comes from a simple, yet powerful, motto: Work Hard. Have Fun. Help Others. It’s not just a phrase, it’s a way of life. It’s a mindset that drives everything we do from the trail to our local communities. And since the acronym WHHFHO just wouldn’t work, WAYFO became the best Way Forward….
